MNG NOLA Festival collection is an amazing selection of chunky fine glitter mixes. All of these glitters have a COLOR SHIFT and HOLOGRAPHIC look. These are sure to sparkle and shine beautifully under epoxy. They are a mix of sizes ranging from 0.125 to 0.15.

MG500 Tales of the Cocktail Fest: This is a blue and black shifty mix with .015 and .25 and .94 hex holo, mixed with the same size opal.
Legend has it that the first cocktail was mixed in New Orleans in the early 19th century by a pharmacist looking to cure an upset stomach. Certainly the city has embraced the art of drink and to commemorate this tradition, Tales of the Cocktail was conceived.
Taking place around town in July, this cork-popping celebration takes the art of drinking and cocktailing most seriously, celebrating everything from mixology to history to trends throughout five days of “cocktails, cuisine and culture.” Tales of the Cocktail is generally a bar industry networking and education event, catering to bartenders, bar owners, and other professionals. Most Tales of the Cocktail seminars and events are designed to appeal to these professions, but there are many events open to the public and designed for cocktail enthusiasts.

The Freret Street festival is the Kick-off to the Festival Season, usually held the first Saturday in April.

Every year, New Orleans’ Faulkner Society hosts New Orleans Words and Music Festival, a literary festival in the Crescent City that appeals to writers, readers, musicians, and culture lovers alike. Each December, hundreds of writers, including authors, poets, and beyond, gather for seminars, discussions, and of course, meals. Some of the best oysters in the city by the dozen, live music from a lineup local performers, unique craft vendors and oyster competitions are among the many things you can experience at Oyster Fest. This summer fest is two-day long event hosted at Woldenberg Park.

Satchmo SummerFest began as a tribute to one of New Orleans’ most famous native sons, the late Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong, to celebrate his 100th birthday. Thousands of people turned out for the first Satchmo SummerFest in 2001 to dance to traditional New Orleans blues and jazz, and to sample the delicious food.

Earth Fest is a fun way for Zoo visitors to learn about saving the environment. Exhibitors representing groups from the non-profit and governmental sectors as well as businesses involved with environmental issues will help Zoo visitors answer questions for prizes on the Earth Quest game.

What is known in some parts of the country as a "submarine sandwich" and in other parts as a "hoagie," is called a "po-boy" in New Orleans. And, like many other uniquely New Orleans and Louisiana creations, there is a festival to celebrate it, as well as a colorful story behind it.
The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival is held every year in mid-November along a commercial strip of Oak Street in the city's Carrollton neighborhood. Not only is the festival a culinary celebration of a famous sandwich, it also celebrates the rebirth of a once-thriving shopping district with roots as deep as the neighborhood itself. Carrollton was a separate city until it was annexed by New Orleans in 1874, and Oak Street was its commercial hub.

On the first weekend of October, the famous Tremé neighborhood hosts the annual Treme Fall Festival. All weekend, visitors enjoy the music and food of this cherished New Orleans neighborhood. Treme Fall Fest is a donation-based event, created to raise money for St. Augustine Catholic Church. The festival is held on the streets bordering the church, located at the corner of Henriette Delille and Gov. Nicholls streets.
Some of the most famous musicians and artists come from New Orleans’ Treme, and many of them perform at the festival or showcase their work. Performers have included Kermit Ruffins, Shannon Powell, Leroy Jones, John Boutte and other renowned names. Artist Terrance Osborne has shown and sold work at the festival, too.
